  1. Integrate Yammer with Classroom

Yammer has already come to O365 groups and should therefore easily be integrated to Classroom.

This will foster better collaboration and information sharing for students.

    See Yammer and O365 here:

  3. Show students only current and past classes

Syncing with SIS creates groups for entire school year. We don't want students to see next semester's classes until next semester. Scheduling is still in process and students are driving everyone nuts with change requests months before the next semester!

  4. "Lock" documents after assignment has been graded and returned

A document should be locked for editing after a teacher grades and returns it. Students should not be able to delete or change anything after it has been graded and returned.

  6. Assign an assignment to new added students

Hi is there any way to assign an assignment (status : still in progress) , that has been created at the past, to new added at the class students. This will be very useful.

  7. It would be great if could integrate current OneNote class notebooks with Microsoft classroom.

Currently have onenote class notebooks set up for classes. If intend to use Microsoft classroom will need to create new class notebooks. This means running two notebooks for the subject which will be confusing for students

  8. set a publish date for assignments

Add a publish date to assignments - when set, an assignment is hidden until the publish date, then appears to students. This way, a teacher could enter assignments in advance, timed to appear when appropriate for students.

  11. Staffroom: Teacher only groups with OneNote, Files etc (i.e. Maths Department, English Department etc)

It would be great to have a 'Staffroom' where school leaders/teachers can create staff groups (i.e. Office 365 Groups with OneNote, File, Conversations)... but all Groups show in the 'Staffroom'.

For example: Maths, English or Year 1, Year 2 etc.

The Office 365 Group functionality is.... awesome! However, in a school context there is no line of sight or central place for the groups.

This is a great idea! We’re investigating this as a future feature.

  13. Teachers should be able to post an announcement, calendar event, or assignment to a particular student instead of whole class.

If I have a project assignment for a small group of students and I want only 5 students to get the assignment instead of the whole class there should be a way to select a group of students for differentiated instruction. If I have an IEP meeting for a particular student I would want to notify that student of the time and place on my calendar and not the whole class.

  14. Allow teachers to see student's uploaded work before it's submitted.

It would be great if teachers could see student's uploaded work before it's submitted.

Currently the student has to turn in the work before the teacher can see it.

This would allow for progressive drafting etc.

  15. Student grades other students assignment returnings

Teatcher should be able to start peer review in assignment. In peer review student have to grade 2-3 randomly and anonymously selected returnings.

  16. Integrate Microsoft Video with Classroom and OneNote.

Integrate Microsoft Video with Classroom and OneNote.

Currently the video recording and playback with OneNote is pretty lacklustre. Integrating the Microsoft Video platform with Classroom and OneNote would allow for rich video contributions from teachers and students.

  17. Single Portal

Every time I click Calendar, Conversations, Files, etc I shouldn't be redirected to SharePoint or Outlook with that info. It would be nice if that content was embedded as part of the same portal. One single pane of glass. I don't want multiple tabs or browser windows open to manage the class. Having links is great, but having full functionality within the Classroom portal is optimal and necessary for busy instructors.

  18. Student Added After Assignment is Created

If a student is added after an assignment is created, that student should be able to see the assignments that were made before they became a part of that classroom.

  19. Integrate Forms into Classroom

The new Forms looks great with the Quiz that can be graded. It would be great if this Quiz could be posted directly to the Classroom as an Assignment from the Forms page. Once the Quiz is graded, it would be great if this grade is posted in Classroom for the student to see rather than the student having to visit the Quiz again after it's been graded.

We are investigating this option but would like some clarifications on the use case here:

    1. Would the group take on the restrictions of the new Class group? (e.g. hidden membership, read-only Files and Calendar for students).

    2. Would this be a manual control provided to a teacher or an administrator setting (e.g. a migration script)?
