  1. Edits to Assignments

It'd be nice to make edits to assignments for multiple classes at once instead of in each individual class.

  2. Class Blog built into system or link to Yammer

Have a class blog section or have a link to a class yammer that is created when the class is created.

  4. SDS - hide synced groups from address list

    (posting for posterity and voting)

Make it so that groups synced by SDS do not show up in the Groups pane in OWA.

    Hi Eric,

Could you add some more details to this idea and let us know what you would like to see in the future?

    Thanks!

Thank you for your suggestion. Is the request to really remove classes from the list of Groups or to block join requests to the class?

  8. Assignments & Mass Deletion

In Classroom, the option to delete assignments en masse via check boxes next to the assignments would be wonderful. Currently, if I want to delete multiple assignments, I must do so individually for each class.

Thank you for your suggestion. We’re considering bulk management options for assignments as a future feature.

We are investigating this option but would like some clarifications on the use case here:

    1. Would the group take on the restrictions of the new Class group? (e.g. hidden membership, read-only Files and Calendar for students).

    2. Would this be a manual control provided to a teacher or an administrator setting (e.g. a migration script)?

  10. Show classes for teachers/students in SDS Admin Portal

it would be nice in the Admin portal if an admin could click on a student/teacher, see all the sections they are assigned to, and then click on that section for the section details.

  12. Teachers deleting students

What happens if a teacher deletes a student by mistake –
Where does the student’s work go?
How do we get it back?
Will the sync do this or not?

When a teacher deletes a student, their turned-in homework remains in their OneDrive for business folder, so, no work is lost.

The student will lose access to the Class (assignments list, conversations, etc.) and Class Notebook until they are added back to the class.

Sync will remove students from a class but does not remove student content.

  13. Teacher content f\rom year to year

Needs to be a feature that allows teachers to copy from old classes to new classes from year to year

This is a great idea! We’re investigating this as a future feature.

  14. Classes - Adding students

You should have the ability to stop teaches from adding or deleting students. This can be a real problem if you are relying on the SIS to move students around

  15. Add the ability to filter the error logs when uploading SIS data

The error interface is currently a bit too difficult to navigate quickly, especially where there are a large number of errors in the SIS data.

It'd be nice if we could filter the error log to focus on specific types of errors (related to users vs classes, etc).

Hi Sean, thank you for sharing this feedback! I’m so sorry we didn’t get back to you earlier. We are definitely looking into how to improve the error logging in SDS, and will try to see how we can apply your feedback. Thank you

  16. Improved status/progress report when syncing SIS data

It would be nice to be able to see a bit more information when we're syncing out SIS data. Things like the last sync time, current progress, any issues that have already come up, etc.

Right now I've just uploaded a CSV full of SIS data and all I can see is the "Sync Enabled" screen so I have no idea where it is in processing the list.

A few clarifying points / questions about class membership and the address book:

    1. Classes today have hidden membership (you have to be a member of the class to see other members in the class).

    2. An email to the class alias will be rejected if you are not also a member of the class.

Are there other specific scenarios that customers are trying to block by hiding the Class (class name and alias) from being listed in the address book?

    -Isaac
